Introduction + Theme/Idea Eg: This is a thought provoking story about the bullying, racism, family, relationships etc….. Short Synopsis Keep it brief.

Do not tell the whole story, Eg: This novel tells the story of a young orphan boy living on the streets in Brazil Eg: This article deals with the impact of bullying today Responding to the text What was an interesting idea the text made you think about? Eg: This text taught me that… Later, I learned that… The text helped me understand that… I was saddened when.. QUOTES Find quotes in the text that back up your response. E.g.

When Bob said he felt abandoned, it made me realise…… When I read the part where Joe left home, I felt….. Add the text to self ideas. How does this relate to you? Eg. I think, I can identify, my reaction was Add the text to wider world ideas. How does this relate to society - now, historically, in the future? Eg. This is a recurring theme, I have seen, when I read this I recalled, Add text to text examples (if possible) Eg.
